WMO: El Niño will persist until February 2027 and intensify by the end of 2026
Forecasts from the UN World Meteorological Organization indicate an almost 100% probability that El Niño will last until February 2027. The organization expects the phenomenon to continue strengthening in the tropical zones of the Pacific Ocean and reach its peak by the end of 2026.
