Hungarian neurophysiologists reported that they had found the first evidence of dogs’ brains’ ability to divide human speech into words and distinguish vowels and consonants. This was reported by the press service of the University of Budapest.

In Spain, more than 90 municipalities have implemented a genetic identification system for dogs to find owners who do not clean up after their pets. A veterinarian takes a saliva sample, the profile is linked to a microchip and entered into a municipal database, after which it is matched with the DNA of found excrement.
