On October 15, the Supreme Court of Udmurtia upheld the arrest of activist Dmitry Morozov from Izhevsk, whom the city’s Pervomaysky District Court sent to pretrial detention on October 5 in a drug case. His girlfriend, municipal deputy and CPRF member Daria Bagina, said that during his detention on October 2, Morozov was beaten and tortured in an attempt to force a confession to financing Ukraine.
