Leak from the Ministry of Economic Development showed that gas for China is 20–30% cheaper than for Europe
A leak from the Ministry of Economic Development made it possible to reconstruct the gas price formula for the Power of Siberia and show that it is on average 20–30% lower than the formula by which Gazprom previously sold gas to Western Europe. This conclusion was reached by senior researcher at the Carnegie Berlin Center Sergey Vakulenko after analyzing the ministry’s tables with data on gas supplies to China for 2022–2024.
