Bucharest Court of Appeal orders Călin Georgescu into custody for 30 days
The Bucharest Court of Appeal lifted the judicial control measure and ordered former Romanian presidential candidate Călin Georgescu into custody for 30 days. He was detained in a case involving the creation of an organized criminal group and fraud amounting to €1.1 million; for the politician, this is already the third criminal case.
