Russian businessman Umar Kremlev, according to ProPublica, paid for the wedding festivities of Donald Trump Jr., the son of the U.S. president, in the Bahamas in May of this year. According to the investigation, the expenses amounted to hundreds of thousands of dollars and included renting a private island, lodging guests, and a lavish fireworks display.
