New York Archdiocese agrees to settle lawsuits from 1,300 people over sexual abuse
The Catholic Archdiocese of New York in the United States has agreed to settlement terms for lawsuits filed by 1,300 people who alleged sexual abuse by clergy and laypeople in leadership positions in the church. All plaintiffs accepted the offer, and signing of the agreement is scheduled for early November.
