Tanker Myra issued a distress signal west of Ireland
The tanker Myra, which is linked to the export of Russian oil in circumvention of sanctions, issued a distress signal in the North Atlantic west of Ireland. The UK Coast Guard asked nearby vessels for assistance, and then a Royal Air Force aircraft established contact with the ship; after assessing the situation, the tanker continued on its way.
