On October 8, TASS reported that the flight of the Swedish Gulfstream S102B Korpen radar reconnaissance aircraft has been recorded over the neutral waters of the Black Sea for the fourth day in a row. According to the agency’s source in air traffic control services, the aircraft departs from Bucharest after the Swedish Air Force was redeployed from Malmen Air Base.
EU ambassadors and officials have been discussing in recent weeks how the Union should respond to a major hybrid attack with several fatalities, POLITICO Europe writes. There is also debate over whether Brussels is going beyond its role and duplicating NATO.

In Latvia, two citizens of the country were arrested on suspicion of spying on the Ādaži military base, where a NATO brigade is stationed, in favor of Russian military intelligence. The case involves a married couple detained at the end of June; both were charged under Article 85 of Latvia’s Criminal Law.
