Anthropic said in a report that the Chinese AI companies DeepSeek and Moonshot redirected their users’ requests to Claude instead of processing them with their own models and passed the answers off as their own. According to the company, Moonshot sent nearly 300,000 requests to Claude over 10 days.
In New York public schools, the use of artificial intelligence has been banned for students up to and including 8th grade for one year. The city’s mayor, Zohran Mamdani, announced that the ban applies to any software with generative AI that is directed at students.
