Five of the eight defendants in the torture case in the 6th Motor Rifle Division have returned to the war in Ukraine
Five of the eight leaders of the Russian army’s 6th Motor Rifle Division, accused in a case involving the murder, torture, and desecration of the bodies of their subordinates, have again gone to war in Ukraine. The criminal case continues to be heard against the former division commander, Major General Marat Ospanov, and on September 18 the Military Appeals Court left him in pretrial detention.
