In The Hague, police dispersed several hundred far-right protesters after a demonstration against migration and asylum policy escalated into violence. City authorities banned the planned march, and Dutch broadcaster NOS reported 24 arrests.
The Special Tribunal for War Crimes in Kosovo in The Hague (Netherlands) on September 16 sentenced the former leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army and former president of the partially recognized Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, to 25 years in prison. Along with him, three former KLA leaders received sentences: Kadri Veseli — 18 years, Jakup Krasniqi — 25 years, and Rexhep Selimi — 13 years.

The body of the former commander of the Bosnian Serb army, Ratko Mladić, is expected to be delivered to Serbia late Thursday evening, the country’s president, Aleksandar Vučić, said. Mladić died on August 27 in a prison hospital in The Hague at the age of 85.
