Andrei Rublev’s icon «Trinity» is in the workshops of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius because of an adjustment to the climate capsule’s operation. The director of the Tretyakov Gallery, Olga Galaktionova, called it technical work and said that this is not about restoration.

The icon «Holy Trinity» by Andrei Rublev was temporarily removed from the iconostasis of the Trinity Cathedral of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra to check its condition and the climate-controlled display case. It was moved to the workshops on the grounds of the lavra.
