FLI confirmed infections with the new-to-Europe Shamonda virus in cows in Germany
The Friedrich Loeffler Institute (FLI) in Germany confirmed infections with the new-to-Europe variant of the Shamonda virus in cows in the states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. According to initial sequence comparisons, the cases in Switzerland and France were likely caused by the same virus.
