The number of new housing developments in Russia fell to a six-year low
From January to September 2026, construction of 3.03 thousand apartment buildings was approved in Russia, and this became the lowest figure in six years, RBC writes, citing data from the Unified Information System for Housing Construction (EISHS) and market participants. The decline in housing demand amid the cancellation of the untargeted subsidized mortgage, the tightening of the family program, and expensive lending led to a reduction in new projects.
