In Latvia, two citizens of the country were arrested on suspicion of spying on the Ādaži military base, where a NATO brigade is stationed, in favor of Russian military intelligence. The case involves a married couple detained at the end of June; both were charged under Article 85 of Latvia’s Criminal Law.

According to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, the CIA warned the governments of European countries about a possible drone operation against one of the countries of Southern Europe — Spain, France, or Italy. The publication says that Russia could use Gerbera drones hidden in cargo containers on merchant ships in the Mediterranean Sea for this purpose.
The Danish Ministry of Defence intelligence service said that in the coming months Russia may carry out a limited strike on one of the NATO countries.
