In Russia, students from at least 40 civilian universities, colleges, and technical schools are being drawn into the production of military drones, ammunition parts, and other products for the army. Some students assemble strike drones for free and, in return, receive good grades and the opportunity to skip classes.

Starting in 2027, Rossotrudnichestvo will begin taking into account Russia’s political relations with the country of a prospective foreign student when allocating the government quota for studying in Russia. The agency will also assess partner countries’ needs for specialists with the required profile and promises preparatory programs and consultations for applicants.
