«Memorial»: since the start of the war in Russia, at least 69 politically persecuted people have died, 20 due to torture
On October 29, «Support for Political Prisoners. Memorial» published the report «Not Having Waited for Freedom», timed to coincide with the memorial action for victims of political repression, «Returning Names». According to the project, since the start of the full-scale war, at least 69 people subjected to politically motivated persecution have died in Russia, and at least 20 of them died as a result of torture, beatings, or their consequences.
