In Irkutsk Oblast, three city clinical hospitals in Irkutsk, the Ivano-Matreninsky Children's Hospital, the city maternity hospital, and the Central District Hospital of Shelekhov were closed for quarantine. A mask mandate was introduced at the aluminum plant in Shelekhov, and Rospotrebnadzor said it was a case of «pneumonia of unspecified etiology».

The First Appellate Court has toughened the sentence of Irkutsk interpreter Svetlana Savelyeva, who was convicted on charges of attempted treason and preparing to illegally cross the border. Her prison term was increased by two months — to 15 years and 2 months in a penal colony.
