France proposed new EU taxes to raise more than €60 billion for the next budget
According to three EU diplomats, in a closed-door discussion on Tuesday France said that new EU-wide levies should bring in more than €60 billion for the next seven-year EU financial framework. Paris remains the main supporter of these measures, but most governments dispute their parameters.
