In the Russian Orthodox Church, the rise in church weddings was linked to a decline in Western «anti-church propaganda»
The chairman of the Russian Orthodox Church’s patriarchal commission on family, motherhood, and childhood issues, Fyodor Lukyanov, said that there have been more church weddings in Russia since the start of the war in Ukraine. He linked this to a decline in the influence of Western «anti-church propaganda» and said that the «anti-church hypnosis» from pro-Western forces had «gone away».
