At least 410,000 people took part in demonstrations in France on October 24, the country’s Interior Ministry said. The trade union «General Confederation of Labour» estimates the number of participants at 800,000; actions in different cities were generally peaceful, although by evening in Paris and several other cities clashes with police began.
