In Germany on Tuesday, former head of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) August Hanning was arrested on suspicion of attempted treason. The Federal Prosecutor’s Office said investigators believe he was involved in buying access to secret documents and using information containing state secrets in favor of a foreign intelligence service.
