Volkswagen workers threaten strikes from January 2027 over collective agreements
On October 23, the IG Metall union and Volkswagen employees threatened to begin strikes from January 2027 if the company does not withdraw by the end of next week its decision to terminate collective agreements on pay and working conditions. Under the current agreement, strikes at the company are prohibited until January 1, 2027.
