As of September 1, the debt of Russians on installment plans for new buildings reached 1.5 trillion rubles, according to Dom.RF. This is roughly every sixth equity participation agreement, 6% of mortgage debt, and almost half of auto loan debt.

In August, the ratio of sold housing under construction to its construction readiness in Russia fell by 1 percentage point to 68%, Dom.RF said. This is the lowest level since 2020, and in buildings that are due to be completed this year, 56% of the area had been sold by the end of August.
