Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar said in parliament on September 21 that there will be no oil storage facility for Ukraine on Hungarian territory as long as his Tisza party is in power. He said he had conveyed this position to MOL’s management and reminded them of the state’s 25 percent stake in the company.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said it will seek the lifting of the arrest on the vessel «Professor Molchanov». The ministry also demanded that Oslo comply with international law, including the provisions and spirit of the Svalbard Treaty.

The Nord-Troms District Court in Norway on August 31 granted the claim filed by Ukraine’s Naftogaz and ordered the arrest of the Russian research vessel Professor Molchanov in Barentsburg on Svalbard. On September 2, the Governor of Svalbard placed the vessel under arrest, and it will remain moored in Barentsburg until further notice.
