Afghanistan International: the Taliban are buying weapons and drones from Belarus with Russia’s involvement
The Taliban movement, which rules Afghanistan, is buying weapons and drones from Belarus with Russia’s consent, while India is acting as an intermediary in the deals, Afghanistan International reports, citing five former senior Afghan officials. According to them, contacts between Minsk and the Taliban intensified after the visit to Moscow by the movement’s defense minister Mohammad Yaqoob in late May and early June, when an agreement on military-technical cooperation was signed.
