Revolut reported a new leak of customer data belonging to clients who invested in U.S. stocks through the broker DriveWealth. According to the bank, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, information about place of work, country of citizenship, age, gender, and part of the account number may have been affected.

The hacker group iamnotavillain demanded $3 million from Revolut or the equivalent in Monero and threatened to sell customer data it had accessed, Financial Times writes. The ultimatum was published on September 16; the site had a 24-hour timer.
The neobank Revolut confirmed a leak of confidential customer data after a fake request from a government agency. The company said that the bank’s systems and customers’ money were not affected.
