Indonesia has tightened sanitary checks at entry points to the country after reports from Russia of the death of an employee of the Irkutsk Scientific Research Anti-Plague Institute of Siberia and the Far East and the hospitalization of nearly 200 people who had contact with her. According to Indonesian Health Ministry official Aji Muhawarman, inspections are being carried out at airports and seaports, including in Bali.
