US Justice Department links defendants in Russian intelligence network case to arson attacks in Europe
The US Justice Department on Tuesday filed charges against five alleged members of a Russian intelligence network and linked the case to a series of arson attacks that have been investigated since 2024 by authorities in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Lithuania. According to investigators, all five took part in a conspiracy to finance terrorism, and three of them were also accused of preparing the contract killing of a Russian dissident in the Washington area.
