French lawmakers approve a traffic tax for internet companies
The French National Assembly on October 30 approved an amendment to the 2027 budget bill that introduces a tax for companies distributing content over the internet, including Netflix, Google, Meta, and Amazon. The authors of the initiative expect the levy to bring the budget about €10 billion a year.
