The Investigative Committee has completed the reopened investigation into the death of 28-year-old Nikolai Shaykhutdinov at IK-15 in Angarsk, Irkutsk Oblast, and has charged the former colony chief Sergei Shvedkov and three other employees with abuse of office instead of negligence. They face up to 10 years in prison, and the case materials are now being prepared for review by the defendants and the victim’s family.
