Upsala-Circus is a social circus project for children and teenagers in difficult life circumstances. It was founded in 2000 in St. Petersburg by director Larisa Afanasyeva together with her German colleague Astrid Schorn. After the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Larisa, together with part of the team, left Russia and moved to Germany.
