On August 24, the federal court for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn sentenced 61-year-old Italian citizen Manfred Gruber to 18 months in prison for conspiring to violate U.S. export laws. In this case, he pleaded guilty on March 30; the case involves the illegal export of American ammunition worth more than $540,000.
