The State Duma received a bill introducing up to six years in prison for internet calls for riots
On October 20, a bill was introduced in the State Duma that provides for up to six years in prison for calls to mass riots, participation in them, or violence against citizens if they are spread through the internet or the media. The initiative also toughens penalties for public justification of terrorism and the use of violence against government officials.
