The Goncourt Academy has excluded Telison Aurélien’s novel from the list of contenders for the prize
The Goncourt Academy has excluded the novel by Canadian-Haitian writer Telison Aurélien, «Either This or Death» (C’était ça ou mourir), from the list of contenders for the prestigious French literary prize. The academy said this decision was made to protect the reputation of the prize and the academy itself after suspicions of the use of artificial intelligence and accusations of plagiarism.
