In Pskov, the Russian Orthodox Church is being handed the Transfiguration Cathedral of the Mirozhsky Monastery with 12th-century frescoes
The Pskov Museum-Reserve has lost the right to manage the Transfiguration Cathedral of the Mirozhsky Monastery and the brothers’ cells of the 15th–16th centuries. The relevant notice came from Rosimushchestvo, and the Russian Orthodox Church will now be responsible for restoring the church and preserving its murals.
