Parents of Amazon programmer Bowen Wang sue OpenAI after her death from epilepsy
The parents of 31-year-old Amazon programmer Bowen Wang, who suffered from severe epilepsy, have filed a lawsuit against OpenAI. They claim that ChatGPT helped their daughter stop taking her anticonvulsant medication and hide it from doctors; Wang died in February 2026.
