Astronomers have detected a radio signal from the exoplanet Beta Pictoris b for the first time
Astronomers have detected for the first time a radio signal coming from a planet outside the Solar System, rather than from its star. The source was the gas giant Beta Pictoris b; from the emission, scientists directly estimated the strength of the exoplanet’s magnetic field for the first time.
