Epidemiologist, RAS academician, and deputy president of the Russian Academy of Education Gennady Onishchenko said that head transplantation in humans is theoretically possible, given the development of modern surgery and anesthesiology. He emphasized that such an intervention remains extremely complex and requires significant financial costs.
