Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry asked for help in returning Kazakh citizens whom relatives say were deceived into joining the Russian army
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry on October 2 urged people to share information about relatives who may have ended up in the combat zone, and on October 7 about a dozen families came to the ministry in Astana and asked to speed up the return of the men whom their loved ones say were deceived into joining the Russian army. The consular section of Kazakhstan’s embassy has already contacted one of them, Miras Tasharganov, and his mother, and then sent a note to Russia’s Foreign Ministry asking for help in bringing the citizens home.
