French President Emmanuel Macron agreed to begin talks with Latvia on the country’s accession to the French Forward Nuclear Deterrence Initiative. A French delegation will arrive in Latvia soon for consultations, and the country’s Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry are to prepare a position, a cooperation model, and a schedule for further talks.
