At Astana Airport, the capital of Kazakhstan, Ukrainian citizen Lyubov Rozhanskaya was detained at Russia’s request after arriving from Istanbul, Turkey, to pick up her grandson. She is now being held in pretrial detention in Astana, and a court hearing on extradition is expected within three days.

In Latvia, two citizens of the country were arrested on suspicion of spying on the Ādaži military base, where a NATO brigade is stationed, in favor of Russian military intelligence. The case involves a married couple detained at the end of June; both were charged under Article 85 of Latvia’s Criminal Law.
A survey by Active Group for the Future Research Foundation showed that 51.7% of Ukrainians allow a territorial compromise to end the war with Russia. 41.3% of respondents opposed this option.

The head of the analytical company «ProZerno», Vladimir Petrichenko, said that if the shutdown of the ports of the Azov and Black Seas continues, Russia will be able to export only 39 million tons of grain instead of 59 million. In his estimate, up to 20 million tons will remain without buyers and may sit in storage for at least until next year.

Russia and five CIS countries agreed on the prompt exchange of data on extremist charges, including cases involving «rehabilitation of Nazism». The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on fraud on an especially large scale against Igor Shemetov, an employee of the housing and utilities service of a military town in the Irkutsk region.
