The district court of the Croatian city of Pula ordered the extradition to Germany of Ukrainian Volodymyr Zhuravlev, who was detained in the case of the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. Zhuravlev’s lawyer, Mykola Katerynchuk, told Ukrainian Suspilne that the defense will appeal the decision, and the suspect himself intends to go on a hunger strike.

In Germany, prosecutors are investigating the case of a 105-year-old man who served as a guard at the Nazi Stalag-326 VI K camp in the west of the country during World War II. Investigators suspect him of aiding numerous killings at the camp, where up to 200,000 Soviet prisoners of war were held from 1941 until April 1945.
